Social Problems and Our Responsibility
Social issues in today’s World: Modern societies face many serious social issues that affect people’s dignity, safety and chances in life. These problems are connected with each other and cannot be solved in isolation, so governments and citizens need to work together to create a fairer world. Equality, discrimination and human right: Social equality means that people enjoy the same basic rights, freedoms and access to important services like education, work and justice. When some groups are treated unfairly because of their age, skin colour, caste, religion, gender, disability or social class, this unfair treatment is called discrimination and it directly violates human rights.
